Description Marius Cornea 2016-02-27 10:24:56 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently the NeutronExternalNetworkBridge parameter defaults to br-ex. Almost all the deployments require it to be set to '' so what we usually do is to add it in the network-environment file. This generates confusion for users that are not familiar with this option and defaulting to '' should cover most of the usecases.

Moreover, we could not expose this parameter at all and always set it to the empty string since in Liberty this option is deprecated and it will be removed in the Mitaka release.

This bug did not make the OSP 8.0 release. It is being deferred to OSP 10.

Comment 4 Red Hat Bugzilla Rules Engine 2017-03-30 13:40:06 UTC
This bugzilla has been removed from the release and needs to be reviewed and Triaged for another Target Release.

The NeutronExternalNetworkBridge parameter has been deprecated own OSP-11 - see https://review.openstack.org/#/c/437407/

On upgrade it will default to "''", see the release note here:
