You have to give more details. The language for example

Comment 2 David Tardon 2016-03-08 08:58:02 UTC
By the nick I guess the language is Polish... That works here anyway. Do you have hunspell-pl installed?

Comment 3 lejeczek 2016-03-08 12:08:55 UTC
nick yes, but it's all english. I have these:

hunspell-debuginfo-1.3.3-8.fc23.x86_64
hunspell-1.3.3-8.fc23.x86_64
hunspell-en-US-0.20140811.1-2.fc23.noarch

I Writer I have, in "Language Settings"
check spelling as you type
check grammar as you type

there is no auto-correction for one, but also even if I select text and go F7 checking is not run, certainly nothing gets highlighted.

Furthermore, I go to menu -> Tools -> Language and no matter what I choose for Paragraph or All Text, that selection does not stay there, I presume it should, as I see it for Selection.

All right, another shot: from the e-mail address I guess you are in Great Britain. If you use "English (UK)" language settings, you need hunspell-en-GB.

I am guessing it might be bit tricky to pull this dep @install time, post-install scripts/triggers maybe?
yes it was missing rpm, but I still don't see "ticks" in Language for Paragraph nor for All Text. Should not these be there?
many thanks

Up to Fedora 24 this needed special handling, using the langpacks plugin for dnf/yum. From Fedora 24 upwards "language support" packages will be installed automatically, based on installed packages and languages.

Did you restart libreoffice?
