Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description sthirugn@redhat.com 2016-03-08 21:43:12 UTC
Description of problem:
hover over text of certain dashboard widgets are irrelevant

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 6.2.0-beta-snap2.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to Monitor -> Dashboard
2. Make sure satellite has some data for content view publish/promote, sync, content hosts, subscriptions, etc
3. Review the following widgets by hovering over the text displayed in the table for each of the widgets
   - Content View History
   - Sync Overview
   - Content Host Subscription Status
   - Current Subscription totals

Actual results:
Hover over text shows irrelevant info. For my Sync Overview widget, the hover over text in the table showed:
Product Status Finished Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Sync Incomplete about 6 hours ago sat6tools_rhel7 Syncing Complete. about 1 hour ago

Expected results:
Provide some meaningful/useful hover over text for the tables in the widgets.

Katello PR: https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/5877

Comment 4 Bryan Kearney 2016-03-14 16:03:26 UTC
Upstream bug component is Content Management

Comment 5 Walden Raines 2016-07-01 16:27:55 UTC
Verified against satellite-6.2.0-18.0.el7sat.noarch. Now I only see the hover when a name is too long to fit into the table and the hover shows the rest of the name.
