Description Nagoor Shaik 2016-03-15 18:19:47 UTC
Description of problem:
Search field on Content View package section, doesn't search for a package when submitting with enter button. It requires a user to press the Search icon next to search for a package

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 6.1.7

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Satellite webUI >> Content >> Content View >> click on a Content View
2. Click on a version number >> Packages tab
3. Search for a package ex. kernel* >> Press Enter key >> This returns all the packages not based on to the keyword searched
Now if we retry the same i.e. search for a package and then click on the Search Icon next to the search field, it returns the correct output as expected.

Actual results:
Pressing Enter key on package section in content view results in listing all packages (not the intended one)

Expected results:
Search should take Enter key as an input to search the keywords.

In Satellite 6.2 Beta, the search interface has been updated to utilize 'scoped_search'. With this change, the above behavior no longer exists. Moving this one to ON_QA for verification.

VERIFIED

on sat6.2.0 beta GA17.0

This works as expected now - it uses Scoped search as mentioned above.
Tried the reproducer steps (using ENTER key) and filter is being correctly triggered.
