Description of problem:

Cannot flash latest Google official images


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

android-tools-20141219git8393e50-4.fc23.x86_64


How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. fastboot -w zip-based/tgz-based image

Actual results:

"update package missing system.img"

Expected results:

successful flash, as the system.img file is inside the package


Android tools is hopelessly updated.  I had a similar incident two years ago.  This is an endemic problem in Fedora.

WARNING: the version of fastboot in Fedora is UNABLE to flash modern Android versions and will in fact BRICK phones with no chance of flashing back to factory unless the version of fastboot is updated to the version I posted above.
