Bug 1318239

Create a separate Public Cloud Guide that covers AWS, Azure & Google. The AWS content is there today (with some planned changes that are coming). The Azure & Google guides are in the customer portal and need to be migrated into a book.

Content in the Deployment Guide for Public Cloud is not reflecting support of SSD and max number of EBS volumes i.e 24, Please refer 3.1.2 doc for the same

Thanks for the heads up. We are yet to merge the 3.1.2 Async release doc updates to 3.1.3 branch. Hence, you see gaps in the doc.

The article looks fine but we would need some time to try out the steps and update accordingly. I am not sure if someone has already tried these and updated.

I have created a new guide "Red Hat Gluster Storage Deployment Guide for Public Cloud" and added the following chapters:

1. Red Hat Storage on Public Cloud (Introduction)
2. Accessing Red Hat Gluster Storage using Amazon Web Services (AWS chapter of 3.1.2 Async release)
3. Accessing Red Hat Gluster Storage using Microsoft Azure (Based on the article "https://access.redhat.com/articles/using-gluster-with-azure" - yet to get technical sign-off)
4. Using Red Hat Gluster Storage in the Google Cloud Platform (Based on the article "https://access.redhat.com/articles/2161791" - ported, formatted, edited and have received technical sign-off from Sac)

I am waiting for technical sign-off on the Azure article "https://access.redhat.com/articles/using-gluster-with-azure" from Bhaskarkiran (QE). Post the sign-off/feedback, I plan to perform another round of editing and get my questions answered for "Accessing Red Hat Gluster Storage using Microsoft Azure " chapter.

1. As we are providing RHGS 3.1.3 qcow2 image so we need to remove steps 4.3.1 to 4.3.6 under Red Hat Gluster Storage in the Google Cloud Platform section 

2. Need to modify the step under 4.3.8. Upload the Image into Google Cloud Storage

gsutil mb -p gluster-1334 gs://rhgs_image_upload (-p <project ID> is missing in the current document)

3. Under section 4.4, step 2. Boot disk click on change and select your image and select image that uploaded 

4. Under "⁠4.6. Attaching and Configuring the Data Disk" 
From the Google Developers Console, click Compute > Compute Engine > VM instances > rhgs-primary-n01 > Edit 

Under additional disk select the disk and save

Moving the bug to Modified state, as I have received new change request for 3.1.3 GCP changes.

Based on the updates from Anjana, the qcow2 image for Google Compute Engine Cloud, and vhd image for Microsoft Azure Cloud  would be available post 3.1.3 GA as an async release.

Hence, moving back the bug to ON_QA.

We are supporting snapshots so we need to remove snapshot from The following features of Red Hat Gluster Storage Server is not supported on Amazon Web Services

I verified the AWS doc and it looks fine

the qcow2 image for Google Compute Engine Cloud, and vhd image for Microsoft Azure Cloud  would be available post 3.1.3 GA as an async release. And i verified AWS doc and looks fine so marking this bug as verified
