Document URL:

Section Number and Name:

The “Upgrading the System Off-line with ISO and Yum” section in the Yum chapter.

Describe the issue:

Step 4 of the procedure tells customers to add the following line to the /etc/yum.repos.d/<name>.repo file:

  baseurl=file://mount_dir

The <mount_dir> placeholder is typically replaced with an absolute path beginning with another forward slash, for example file:///media/rhel6/, but this is not immediately obvious to the reader and does confuse customers.

Suggestions for improvement:

Either replace the line with the following:

  baseurl=file:///mount_dir

or make it absolutely clear in the text that an additional slash is required.
