Description of problem:
'make distcheck' fails since 0.51.0-1 in all fedora releases.

srcdir=../../../po /usr/bin/intltool-update -m
The following files contain translations and are currently not in use. Please
consider adding these to the POTFILES.in file, located in the po/ directory.

sub/mate-system-monitor.desktop.in

Of course the file is in POTFILES.in, i can run distcheck in rhel7 without any problem.
Well, i know you did workaround in some packages at git gnome.
A general fix is available here.

Please apply the fix as i'm using distcheck very often to create tarballs.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 25 development cycle.
Changing version to '25'.
