Audacious 3.7 was not available at the time of Fedora 23 release. The plugin API is still compatible with 3.6.x plugins, but upgrading always bears risks if there are not enough people giving feedback on Test Updates. No need to build from source, however, since newer releases have been available in my Copr repo: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/mschwendt/audacious-next/ OK. Thanks. The problem still exists in Fedora 24 with Audacious v. 1.7.2. The difference now is that if I build from source it does not fix the problem. I managed to fix the problem by deleting ~/.config/audacious and ~/.cache/audacious, so likely this is not a problem specific to Fedora as at the moment I am running a version I built from upstream sources. Anyway, it is good in my opinion to keep this bug report open so that other people can find a solution for this issue. This feature of dropping a folder into a player to play all songs in the folder is something I use a lot and one of the Audacious features I love most - as few other players can do this. I don't think this is a common problem. |
