Description AP 2016-03-24 08:39:52 UTC
I use a Displayport to HDMI connector with a lenovo tower to my TV mostly because the TV does not have a green audio-in connection. I lost the bios and grub welcome screens a long time ago but it used to boot just fine. Ever since 4.4.4-300.fc23.x86_64 kernel upgrade it longer recognizes the output to the TV. So I fellback to 4.2.3-300.fc23.x86_64 using DVI. While using DVI I get back bios and grub welcomes; if I reboot using Displayport to HDMI there are no welcomes but eventually boots up and displays accurately is this a bug that I can fix and then upgrade to the current kernel or is there no longer support for the conversion cable?

I am using on board intel HD 2000

I think it must be a resolution setting that is messing things up, I think it boots up just fine but the resolution output is not supported by the display and therefore no signal is given. This is probably why a while ago I got no bios or grub welcomes; but after full boot the screen would come on. I will try 4.4.6 this weekend to see if this fixes the problem.

4.4.6 not working either regress back to 4.2.3 still works
