I don't see how is this related to ia32el. I appologize, I didn't realize I selected any component because I don't believe any one component is to blame and if there was I would not know which one. Can you assist me in reclassification of the problem? Thanks does acpi=off on the kernel commandline fixes this? often aic7xxx problems are actually irq routing issues The problem is I am booting off the Boot CD/DVD in order to install, so I don't get those types of options. What can I do once I boot from CD and go to another window via alt-f2/alt-f3 etc? Thanks you should be able to type "linux acpi=off" on the VERY first screen That worked!! Thanks for your help! Fedora Core 2 has now reached end of life, and no further updates will be provided by Red Hat. The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel updates for security problems only. If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the product version accordingly. Thank you. |
