we have mereged the above commit to ntp-4.2.6p5-5.el6.centos.2.src.rpm but still the fix is not working, do you feel that we have to patch certain other patches to make this fix work ? It looks like you will need also https://github.com/ntp-project/ntp/commit/309590ffad7a5432b3e6301cfb99b66114e1b984 This is a more invasive change and backporting will probably be more risky. This is a backport taking just a small part of the later upstream commit.
Thanks Miroslav , we are able to patch ntp-4.2.6p5-5 & LLIPV6 is working now. We are now upgrading to CentOS6.8 , with that newer version of ntp is release, I have patch the following commit with new version of rpm. After patch also ipv6 communication is not happening. Do we need to patch any other files to make it work. The changes since ntp-4.2.6p5-5 were mostly security fixes. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 transitioned to the Production 3 Phase on May 10, 2017.
