Description Temujin 2016-03-30 02:14:15 UTC
Description of problem:getting video artifacts in all video vlc, html5 video, videoplayer also with this package I cant seek through a html5 video in the player. It hangs.I downgraded to libva-vdpau-driver-0.7.4-12.fc23.x86_64.rpm and my system went back to normal playback. This was the only package that was updated during an update. If I can provide any other info please let me know. i don't see any other bug reports filed so it may just be my system but I figured I'd mention it.

Can you attach the output of:
$ vdpauinfo
$ vainfo

The diff between -12 and -13 is that the symlinks have been reverted, this will be handled properly by mesa instead

Also vlc might be configured to try vaapi first, but you should us vdpau if possible in your case.

It cleared it self up on f24. I am no longer running f23. It did clear it self up some what before I did a clean install of f24. Video in f23 was not good at all compared to other releases. From reading I came to the conclusion it had some thing to do with gl/glx. F24 is very good no line in video and no artefacts.

Thanks for the reply. You can close this as it just must have been something on my system or some kind of glitch here.
