This would not really help with the intention of checking if a server is reachable. If the connection for PING and data are split, one could function while the other is really broken (router, gateway, firewall, ...). Raghavendra, do you remember if PING over a transport has a higher priority than other FOPs? Or, did we discuss updating the last PING-reply when other FOPs over a connection arrived? Were there improvements in newer versions (> 3.5.6)? This bug is getting closed because the 3.5 is marked End-Of-Life. There will be no further updates to this version. Please open a new bug against a version that still receives bugfixes if you are still facing this issue in a more current release. |
