This same problem exists in Beta 2 of Fedora 24

Fedora23 and earlier, and competing distributions show UPS status. (Eg Fully charged)

System Tray in Gnome and in system->power settings.

This is a Fedora problem and not a Gnome only problem. It is not being presented with Fedora 24 xfce (which does not use Wayland or Gnome 3.x

It may be a bug with Gnome2, which is the same as that from Fedora23.

One can't run Fedora as a server if the UPS battery support and information is not available. A crash due to UPS powerfailure may fully damage the file system, making recovery precarious at best.

Comment 4 Leslie Satenstein 2016-06-04 12:49:45 UTC
Fedora 24 command line upower -d does not show the APC UPS.

Fedora 23 does show it and as well, my system's power supply.
