Description of problem:
Switching between multiple open windows. Attempted to edit javascript code. Made a few quick changes in succession, only to have noticed an error and tried to use backspace to correct. Program died at this point.

Upstream did some changes in this function for gtk 3.20 compatibility and are hoping that these changes also correct this problem.
