Description of problem:
Pidgin used to display a useful tray icon that showed my status, etc.  At some point the last few weeks it has disappeared, instead it shows a tiny meaningless dot.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login to KDE
2.Run pidgin from konsole
3.

Actual results:
see attached pic showing missing tray icon (it's the one just to the left of the audio volume icon right of the button saying "pidgin1.png")

Expected results:
Meaningful tray icon displayed
