Could you share an example log so I can reproduce this?

anonymized maillog

i took the maillog from the last two days, filtered most irrelevant stuff out and replaced all the senders and recipients by "example.com" and "soembody"

on my local machine running /etc/cron.daily/0logwatch shows at least some of the formatting errors very clear

anonymized maillog

that's the really anonymized one - how can i delete instead just half-hide the other one?

Comment 5 Jan Synacek 2016-05-10 11:45:12 UTC
Thanks, should be fixed with the following patch.

I don't think you can remove attachments, maybe bugzilla admins can. If it is really important, I guess you should file a ticket against bugzilla and have the attachment removed from the database. If it is less important, I can make it private, which should make it more trusted.

Comment 7 Harald Reindl 2016-05-10 12:02:28 UTC
please make it private - it's only a subset (grep for smtpd) but too much for public

for the future i have now a "anonymize-maillog.php" command running line for line trough the current maillog and output a cleaned version based on the server config of usernames and domains with consistent replaces
