journalctl output for both kernel versions none

Description Ulrich Hobelmann 2016-04-19 05:34:14 UTC
Created attachment 1148316 [details]
journalctl output for both kernel versions

Description of problem:
The external monitor appears switched on (no power-save), but it's completely blank.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.4.6-301.fc23

How reproducible:
Boot the system with the kernel version.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot.

Additional info:
When I boot with the F23 default kernel (4.2.3-300), external monitor is working just fine.

This is a fresh installation, so I do not have intermediate versions to compare.
Hardware is something Intel.

Comment 1 Ulrich Hobelmann 2016-04-23 07:33:16 UTC
kernel 4.4.7-300 has the same problem.

When GNOME starts, the external monitor briefly flashes with the blue background, then returns to black.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 23 kernel bugs.

Fedora 23 has now been rebased to 4.7.4-100.fc23. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 24 or 25, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 24 or 25.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************
This bug is being closed with INSUFFICIENT_DATA as there has not been a response in 4 weeks. If you are still experiencing this issue, please reopen and attach the relevant data from the latest kernel you are running and any data that might have been requested previously.

Comment 4 Ulrich Hobelmann 2016-11-15 08:40:10 UTC
I'm sorry, but I ditched Fedora, because this made it impossible to use for me, so I also have no idea if this has been fixed yet.

This bug has been marked as closed, but I still get regular spammings. Hoping this will make them stop.
