Some additional comments: Adapter works if I add a new mode which is matching with tv via xrandr commands. So it is obvious that Fedora could not read correct edid codes from adapter. Thanks, *********** MASS BUG UPDATE ************** We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 24 kernel bugs. Fedora 24 has now been rebased to 4.7.4-200.fc24. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel. If you have moved on to Fedora 25, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 25. If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those. Hello, This problem is solved in an updated version of Fedora. I am closing report. Thanks for your effort and support for Fedora. |
Created attachment 1149369 [details] Journalctl output Description of problem: I am using an updated version of Fedora 24 in Lenovo yoga 900 laptop which has have only USB-C output for an external display. I bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter (bestek) and when I connect my laptop to external display (A full hd 60 hz tv) I can not change resolution for 1920*1080 and 16:9 view. The only resolution is 1024*768 and 4:3 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): My kernel version is 4.5.1-300.fc24.x86_64 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to desktop 2. Connect a usb-c to hdmi adapter to computer 3. Wait for the signal and connection to TV 4. Check resolution 5. Check values in settings and display Actual results: The resolution is only 800*600 and 1024*768 with 4:3 view Expected results: I expect to see all resolution supported by TV Additional info: You can find some logs attached from my system when I connect and disconnect adapter
