Description Richard 2016-04-21 09:32:29 UTC
Please upgrade python27 SCL from providing Python 2.7.8 to 2.7.9 or later.

Python 2.7.9 contains a variety of security fixes backported from Python 3, including a large number to the SSL module.

See https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-279/ for full list. The Python 2.7.x series has had a few further bug fix releases since 2.7.9, ideally the python27 SCL would be updated to provide the latest.

Think I raised this under the incorrect "product" initially. Possibly a duplicate of bug 1217830, however please advise.

Thanks.
