We already monitor the servers via OpsTools, which relies on collectd: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-openstack-platform/8/red-hat-openstack-platform-operational-tools/chapter-1-architecture OpsTools are not tighten to OpenStack in any way, and can be used in other contexts, while Ceilometer is as of today cannot be deployed out of OpenStack. It seems that there's a package ready for OSP11. Robert - we are reviewing collectd RFEs with Intel to be included in releases RHOSP11,12,13. Targeting this one to 13 until the review is completed. Will update this BZ by the end of next week.
