ok this is weird. doing gvfs-mount manually works but then the issue is that rhythmbox refuses to see it. The error in rhythmbox is: (12:13:49) [0x55aa73256600] [rb_removable_media_manager_add_mount] rb-removable-media-manager.c:681: Unhandled media, no volume for mount The other issue is when i unmount it, it disappears from nautilus whereas with the iso, it remains visible in nautilus. gvfs-mount -l provides a clue:
Volume(0): Documents on kiril’s iPod
Type: GProxyVolume (GProxyVolumeMonitorAfc)
Mount(0): Documents on kiril’s iPod -> afc://34463480cdc0029bf928b22929acd3f466d1ab24:3/
Type: GProxyShadowMount (GProxyVolumeMonitorAfc)
Mount(0): Documents on kiril’s iPod -> afc://34463480cdc0029bf928b22929acd3f466d1ab24:3/
Type: GDaemonMount
my mount is not part of the volume. The question though, is why?
