screenshot of box in question
Click the other button 'modify storage layout'. Brian, IMO, this is not the desired outcome(?). From a UX perspective I doubt the majority of users expects their installer to reboot the machine when they click "Quit" in a dialog box during the installation. If that is the case, the button should really say "Reboot", not "Quit". I hope you can review the bugzilla once more Tore, this has been the behavior ever since 7.0 and Fedora 18. We have not seen any customer cases reported or issues reported upstream regarding the particular wording of this dialog, so I'm lead to believe that the majority of people do actually find this clear. |
Created attachment 1153439 [details] screenshot of dialog box in questions Description of problem: An pop-up dialog showing information on why a device selection during installation is invalid, display a "Quit" button. When the user click this, the installer reboots the machine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Using the installer in rhel-server-7.2-x86_64-dvd.iso How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot from ISO and start installer 2. Select "Installation Destination" 3. Make changes so that anaconda display an message saying "There was a problem with your disk selection. Click here for details". I deselected on of the drives present. 4. Read dialoge, press Quit Actual results: When the user hits "Quit", the installer reboots the machine Expected results: When the user hits "Quit", the dialoge should not be present anymore and the user can make the changes he needs to complete his installation Additional info: I have added a picture of the dialog in question to better explain what I'm trying to show is wrong
