I bisected it this morning and it's actually a bug in qemu: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2016-05/msg02752.html Or maybe not. Anyway it is now fixed in Rawhide. nbdkit-1.1.11-8.fc24 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 24. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-f4bc631de5 nbdkit-1.1.11-8.fc24 has been pushed to the Fedora 24 testing repository.
