Description Branislav Náter 2016-05-17 12:35:41 UTC
Description of problem:
As part of errata workflow, we have to check license file. I'm not able to find any for python27-python-coverage package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
python27-python-coverage-3.6-1.el{6,7}

How reproducible:
License file should be present in /opt/rh/python27/root/usr/share/doc/python27-python-coverage-3.6

Comment 1 Charalampos Stratakis 2016-05-18 08:05:16 UTC
Seems the sources didn't include a license file for the packaged upstream version (3.6). Later versions include a license file and since this is for software collections I believe a rebase to a newest version for the next release would be the ideal solution.

Comment 3 Tomas Orsava 2017-01-13 17:32:51 UTC
The upstream version that introduces the standalone license file also introduces bundling of jquery libraries, which I don't think is desirable.

However, the current rhscl version does contain the license and copyright inside the `coverage/__init__.py` file.

Comment 4 Tomas Orsava 2017-01-16 10:12:13 UTC
Fixed. The license was put inside %docs in both RHEL versions as the %license macro in RHEL7 does not yet work properly in RHSCLs with respect to uninstallation (rhbz#1334670).

Comment 7 Branislav Náter 2017-03-13 08:28:30 UTC
Just a small enhancement, please remove "#" at the beginning of each line in newly created license file. Thanks

Comment 8 Tomas Orsava 2017-03-13 09:15:07 UTC
Done!

Comment 10 Branislav Náter 2017-04-11 15:34:32 UTC
License file is present in python27-python-coverage-3.6-4.el6.x86_64 and python27-python-coverage-3.6-4.el7.x86_64 packages.

# pwd
/opt/rh/python27/root/usr/share/doc/python27-python-coverage-3.6
[root@qeos-50 python27-python-coverage-3.6]# cat license
