Did you review the documentation we have on this subject? I have. Could you point out exactly which step of the documentation you're referring to so that I understand which point might be causing problems here? https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.5/html-single/Installation_Guide/index.html#Installing_Additional_Hosts_to_a_Self-Hosted_Environment doesn't seem to cover this failure and I can't find any relevant KCS about [WARNING] Cannot validate host name settings, reason: resolved host does not match any of the local addresses [ ERROR ] Failed to execute stage 'Setup validation': Answer file lacks lockspace UUIDs, please use an answer file generated from the same version you are using on this additional host as the only lockspace UUIDs KCS didn't help in this instance. (In reply to Yaniv Dary from comment #5) > See docs: > https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/ > Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.6/html/Self-Hosted_Engine_Guide/ > Upgrading_the_Self-Hosted_Engine_from_6_to_7.html https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1311027#c2 https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2300331 Since we're already in the 3.6.z lifecycle we cannot support 3.5.z addition in the above flow. This can be done by keeping a local repo of 3.5.z to ensure you do not use 3.6.z until you're ready to upgrade. |
