Description Alan Cox 2004-09-28 18:09:37 UTC
Description of problem:

Fedora Core 2 works fine (as it was without EDD support) while several
setups I've played with seem to crash in the EDD asm calls very early
in boot on AMD64. The Acard SCSI firmware has this problem. JGarzik
also reported a 30 second delay on one of his boxes (but not a crash).

Comment 1 Alan Cox 2004-09-29 11:39:13 UTC
Confirmed the trigger is the acard scsi bios. That at least implies
the problem may be unusual sicne the card is obscure

Comment 2 Dave Jones 2004-10-26 22:53:18 UTC
disabled for FC3.
