Rawhide koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14261800 Noticed a missing python2- provides so spec updated Spec URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache.spec SRPM URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache-0.6.0-2.fc25.src.rpm Rawhide koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14262347 Upstream just released 0.7.0 Spec URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache.spec SRPM URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache-0.7.0-1.fc25.src.rpm Rawhide koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14330255 Upstream just released 0.8.0 Spec URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache.spec SRPM URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-1.fc25.src.rpm Rawhide koji build:http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14370567 Overall, looks pretty good to me. There are some minor things that I'd like to see fixed first. They're listed in the review template below but I'm pulling the one blocker issue and the other potential issue here: The big one is the BR on python-devel, this should be python2-devel for newer fedoras. The other issue is less of a blocking issue - The python guidelines mandate the use of the %python_provide macro but in this case, support is python2 only due to upstream limitations. If python3 support is added, it'd be good to switch over to using the macros instead of listing the provides. Package Review ============== Legend: [x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated [ ] = Manual review needed Issues: ======= - Package contains BR: python2-devel or python3-devel ===== MUST items ===== Generic: [x]: Package is licensed with an open-source compatible license and meets other legal requirements as defined in the legal section of Packaging Guidelines. [x]: License field in the package spec file matches the actual license. [x]: Package contains no bundled libraries without FPC exception. [x]: Changelog in prescribed format. [x]: Sources contain only permissible code or content. [-]: Package contains desktop file if it is a GUI application. [x]: Package complies to the Packaging Guidelines [x]: Package successfully compiles and builds into binary rpms on at least one supported primary architecture. [x]: Package installs properly. [x]: Rpmlint is run on all rpms the build produces. Note: There are rpmlint messages (see attachment). [x]: Packages must not store files under /srv, /opt or /usr/local Python: [x]: Python eggs must not download any dependencies during the build process. [x]: A package which is used by another package via an egg interface should provide egg info. [!]: Package meets the Packaging Guidelines::Python Issue: The buildrequires is python-devel, not python2-devel Note: The python guidelines mandate the use of the %python_provide macro but in this case, support is python2 only due to upstream limitations. If python3 support is added, it'd be good to switch over to using the macros instead of listing the provides [x]: Binary eggs must be removed in %prep ===== SHOULD items ===== Generic: [-]: If the source package does not include license text(s) as a separate file from upstream, the packager SHOULD query upstream to include it. The F23 python-augeas doesn't provide python2-augeas so since it's a target for this use that instead in the requires Switching over to python2-devel specifically as per pointed out Do note that that the python_provide macro is actually used in the py2 subpackage ... the specific provides there is so that users can dnf install certbot-apache to get the plugin as a nicer way for them than finding the python2- side of things There's a F23 rpm in the FPO space for testing in a public F23 instance Spec URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache.spec SRPM URL: https://jhogarth.fedorapeople.org/certbot-apache/python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-2.fc25.src.rpm Rawhide koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14407994 F23 koji build: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14407991 Looks good to me Package request has been approved: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/python-certbot-apache python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-2.fc24 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 24. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-f8f2926fbd python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-2.el7 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 7. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-21c50cf71b python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-2.fc23 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 23. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-b9c62ca7b9 python-certbot-apache-0.8.0-2.fc24 has been pushed to the Fedora 24 testing repository.
