Thank you very much for the report. You are correct in your assessment. The name of the application called in the autorun script should be /usr/bin/system-cdinstall-helper. The fix will do the appropriate action of allowing users to install the documentation packages via the graphical Package Management Tool upon CD insertion. Thanks again for your report. |
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040904 Firefox/0.9.3 Description of problem: Attempting to autorun the RHEL4 beta 1 Documentation CD silently fails (at least, from the GNOME desktop it seems silent to me). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): redhat-release-3.94WS-1 system-config-packages-1.2.16-2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in to GNOME. 2. Insert Documentation CD. 3. GNOME will ask you, "Do you want to run /media/cdrw_dvdrom/autorun?" (or something like that). Click "Yes". Actual Results: After clicking "Yes", nothing happens. Expected Results: User should be prompted for root password, and interactive package installation GUI stuff should begin. Additional info: The autorun script appears to try to run redhat-cdinstall-helper. AFAICT this no longer exists and has been replaced by system-cdinstall-helper. If you need any more info from me, just ask.
