I am pretty sure that RHEL 6.5 is not supported, unless you have a RHEL EUS subscription ( in which case you'd probably need to open a case with RH support ). But I am willing to stand corrected by anyone more experienced than me, of course.

In general, docker needs newer version of kernel which is not available in rhel-6.5.

To your problem. I get the same error message when I start the docker daemon as a non-root user.

Mihn,

1) docker on rhel6 is not supported
2) docker-1.7 is no longer maintained
3) no plans to support docker on rhel6

Docker is maintained and supported on RHEL7.

This will not get fixed. Still, you can open a customer case to escalate it.

Regards
Jan

Minh, there's a chance you could get Docker working with the xen4centos kernel, but then again, it would cease to be RHEL 6.5. Also, don't think there's any support (neither enterprise nor community) RE: xen4centos + Docker.
