Description Andrew Jones 2016-06-06 06:57:41 UTC
For kernel-4.5.0-0.34.el7 we backported

a6e707ddbdf1 KVM: arm/arm64: timer: Switch to CLOCK_MONOTONIC_RAW

but then started seeing long stalls during guest boot when the guest was configured with more than one vcpu. We see now that we missed two other commits,

9006a01829a5: hrtimer: Catch illegal clockids
9c808765e88e: hrtimer: Add support for CLOCK_MONOTONIC_RAW

but, more importantly, all three of them have been reverted upstream with

82e88ff1ea948 hrtimer: Revert CLOCK_MONOTONIC_RAW support

Reverting RHEL commit 34b1eaee69f2, which is the backport of a6e707ddbdf1, has resolved the boot stalls. Under this bug we'll post a revert of it.
