Description Vinzenz Feenstra [evilissimo] 2016-06-20 07:16:42 UTC
In some disaster recovery scenarios it is possible that you loose your database and all data on it.
When then trying to import existing storage domains you get presented with the error that it is still attached to a different storage domain.

We should be allowing to forcibly import such domains with a big fast warning etc to make it easier to recover previous storage domains.

The request is not clear to me, please provide a clearer description.

Comment 2 Vinzenz Feenstra [evilissimo] 2016-11-21 12:13:16 UTC
Not sure what's not to understand.

We do not allow to import storage domains that have been assigned somewhere else and not detached properly.
We should give the option to override this, because there are scenarios where this actually useful.

At least there should be some tool to free a storage domain from its assigned storage domain to allow it to be attached to a different engine.

We do allow this is the DC is initialized.
