Description huaxx 2016-06-24 02:36:32 UTC
Description of problem:
while using yum install multiple packages,if one package install success,other packages install failed,yum also return 0。

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
yum-3.4.3

How reproducible:
yum -c /etc/yum.conf -y install openssh.x86_64 mytest1.x86_64 mytest2.x86_64 --intallroot /tmp

Steps to Reproduce:
1.in /etc/yum.repos.d dir,configure .repo(create yum repos);
2.yum -c /etc/yum.conf -y install openssh.x86_64 mytest1.x86_64 mytest2.x86_64 --intallroot /tmp;
3.echo $?(check return value)

Actual results:
0

Expected results:
1 or ohter value (>0)

Additional info:
although some package install successed, but some package install failed,I think it should distinguish with all of packages install successful(in this case,return 0).

Clearly this is unrelated to Bugzilla, please move it to the product you are having difficulties with.

when I use yum to install multiple packages:
yum install openssh.x86_64 mytest1.x86_64 --intallroot /tmp

openssh install success,but mytest1 install fail,output:
No package mytest1.x86_64 available

the return also is 0.

I think as long as there is a package installation fails,the return value shouldn't be 0.

Also I see another bug when install only one package by yum,it repair its return value to 1 when install failed:

The requested functionality will be added to yum as part of bug 1274211.
