What does this have to do with glib (in particular, the original version from Gnome 1.x)? If you think it's a glib issue, you probably mean glib2, not glib.

I can't see any reports about always on top not working on Linux, at least not in RPM Fusion bugzilla or upstream trac. I'd suggest reporting this issue in one of those places as a first step, unless you have some reason to believe this has been triaged to a glib issue. Have you?

Comment 3 Kirill Gorin 2016-06-30 17:47:54 UTC
This has nothing to do with glib. It just doesn't have VLC component. I'm pretty sure I got the package from @System.

I guess I figured this, right click on Gnome window and choosing Always on top works. Using Always on top from inside VLC menu has no effect.

Comment 4 Paul Howarth 2016-07-01 10:42:26 UTC
vlc is not a Fedora package; you should report the bug against vlc at the repository you installed it from, most likely RPM Fusion.

Comment 5 Paul Howarth 2016-07-07 13:17:11 UTC
Closing as it's not a glib bug (or a bug in anything else at Fedora).
