fixed here https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/lvm2.git/commit/?id=4d1c4e1f7339746eacc850f45085ecd75bfd56a1 vgcreate: allow pvcreate force option Commit a9940bd3c92 began disallowing the -f (force) option to apply to the implicit pvcreate. Make it allowed again. Marking verified with latest rpms. vgcreate -f does not prompt for fs signature wiping anymore. # vgcreate vg /dev/sda WARNING: xfs signature detected on /dev/sda at offset 0. Wipe it? [y/n]: n Aborted wiping of xfs. 1 existing signature left on the device. # vgcreate vg /dev/sda -f Wiping xfs signature on /dev/sda. Physical volume "/dev/sda" successfully created. Volume group "vg" successfully created # /usr/tests/sts-rhel7.3/ bin/ bonding-ng/ cman/ dm/ gfs/ lib/ lvm2/ nfs/ pcs/ roller/ upgrade/ vedder/ xmlrpc/ bonding/ clufter/ ctdb/ fence/ gfs2/ logging/ man/ pacemaker/ rgmanager/ scsi_reserve/ var/ virt/ 3.10.0-505.el7.x86_64 lvm2-2.02.165-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 lvm2-libs-2.02.165-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 lvm2-cluster-2.02.165-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 device-mapper-1.02.134-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 device-mapper-libs-1.02.134-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 device-mapper-event-1.02.134-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 device-mapper-event-libs-1.02.134-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 device-mapper-persistent-data-0.6.3-1.el7 BUILT: Fri Jul 22 12:29:13 CEST 2016 cmirror-2.02.165-2.el7 BUILT: Wed Sep 14 16:01:43 CEST 2016 Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
