To clarify, all of the raid is Linux software raid. To clarify, I meant I suspect it is something it doesn't like about my /home partition. Is this any better with the latest release candidate from http://testing.fedora.redhat.com/tree/ ? if not, can you paste the oops here please ? I downloaded the isos eariler today, and tried it again. I had the same problem. I don't remember exactly what happened before, but this time the tray came out without the dialog box asking for the next cd. Again I told Anaconda to ignore the /home partition and was successful. Then manaully put in an entry in fstab and mounted it. I added it to fstab and mounted it after the install and first boot. Same situtation with FC3, but this time with the dvd. It got to the end of the install, and then the kernel oopsed. It still had vnc listed above the progress bar. No pop out of the tray this time. An update has been released for Fedora Core 3 (kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3) which may contain a fix for your problem. Please update to this new kernel, and report whether or not it fixes your problem. If you have updated to Fedora Core 4 since this bug was opened, and the problem still occurs with the latest updates for that release, please change the version field of this bug to 'fc4'. Thank you. This bug has been automatically closed as part of a mass update. It had been in NEEDINFO state since July 2005. If this bug still exists in current errata kernels, please reopen this bug. There are a large number of inactive bugs in the database, and this is the only way to purge them. Thank you. |
