I think fcami said he'd review this, so I'll assign this to him in the hope that's still the case :)

You can remove the following bits that were copied from upstream's spec file:

%global commitdate 20160713
%global commit 4341b4c4f372a3d2f22991743af7df645ffe6542
%global shortcommit %(c=%{commit}; echo ${c:0:7})

These are only relevant when packaging (prerelease) Git snapshots and they are not necessary for Fedora downstream.
