For locally-connected USB printers (EXCEPT multifunction devices) it should work to just plug them in and print I think. tfox: Who should this be assigned to? Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported against rawhide during the development of a Fedora release that is no longer maintained. The Printer Manager applet appears to have gone away; the Printer Notifier applet looks very different to the screenshots in the docs Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): system-config-printer-0.6.115-1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select: System Settings->Printers 2. Select Help->Contents 3. View Chapter 13: "Manage Print Jobs". Actual Results: Screenshots and text appear out of date. Expected Results: foo Additional info: Information about locally-connected printers may need updating as well, does the new HAL printer support obsolete some of the information here?
