Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-satellite/version-6.2-beta/installation-guide/#upgrading_satellite_server_and_capsule_server

Section Number and Name: 6.1.2. Upgrading Satellite Server

Describe the issue:

The instruction

6. If there are discovered hosts available, turn them off and delete all entries under the Discovered hosts page. Will impact the default selected organization.

Suggestions for improvement:

The instruction should probably specify that this should be done for all organizations.

How about this text:

If there are discovered hosts available, turn them off and delete all entries under the Discovered hosts page. If you have multiple organizations, you may have to repeat this process for each organization.

Comment 4 Andy MacMurray 2016-07-25 13:49:34 UTC
The previously suggested text was too vague.

How about this text:

Go to `Hosts` > `Discovered hosts`. If there are discovered hosts
available, turn them off and then delete all entries under the
`Discovered hosts` page. Select all other organizations using the
organization setting menu and repeat this action as required. Reboot
these hosts after the upgrade has completed.

This is now live on the customer portal.
