Description of problem:
If a user has a home directory mounted by nfs, then the GNOME main
menu cant be used for logging out: it seems to be insensitive.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-session-2.6.0-4

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login with a NFS home dir
2.Try to logout with the gnome main menu
3.
    

Actual Results:  cannot logout (no main menu appears)

Expected Results:  main menu with logout button

Additional info:

the problem disappears if the home dir is mounted with the nolock option.

Fedora Core 2 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for
security updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please
reopen and reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a
security issue and hasn't been resolved in the current FC3 updates or
in the FC4 test release, reopen and change the version to match.

starting the nfslockd solves the problem.
