Please reopen the ticket if needed, but I won't be maintaining omniORB in Fedora anymore. |
Description of problem: When starting the omniNames service a spurious error is logged to the console. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.1.6-2 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. sudo service omniNames start Actual results: Starting omniNames: /usr/bin/dirname: extra operand `2>&1' Try `/usr/bin/dirname --help' for more information. [ OK ] Expected results: Starting omniNames: [ OK ] Additional info: The issue is caused by incorrect quoting on the daemon line of the start function. It's currently: daemon --user omniORB "$exec $options 2>&1 &" But I think it should be: daemon --user omniORB $exec "$options 2>&1 &" Notice the different in quote placement.
