Kernel panic message

Description of problem: Got a kernel panic just after trying to load the XFCE live ISO for Fedora 24.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-24-1.2

How reproducible: Probably only on my machine, but happens systematically.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Downloaded this image: https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/24/Spins/x86_64/iso/Fedora-Xfce-Live-x86_64-24-1.2.iso
2. Checked the SHA256 and it matched.
3. dd'd to my USB disk.
4. Rebooted and tried both boot options (check image first, or simply try Fedora), in both I very quickly get the error in the attached file (sorry for the photo quality, I couldn't copy it as text) and I have no idea what else can I do. The only visible information is the motherboard name.

Actual results: Kernel panic

Expected results: Boot to live Fedora

Additional info: I just ran lots of Ubuntu live CDs and had no issues with them.

Moving over to kernel folks for comment.

Typically that issue comes when an initrd can't be found. Can you mount the USB disk and check the grub.cfg? It should be under EFI/BOOT/grub.cfg

I'm sorry, I just tried dd'ing the ISO to my USB drive again, and rebooting today, and this time it worked.

Between both tests, I did install a new Debian on my machine, but unless the live ISO is somehow looking at my disk (which I find very unlikely), the error must have been an issue with the USB drive. I used it dozens of times to flash live ISOs and never had a problem, so I didn't consider retrying it.

The reason I was testing fedora was to see if the XFCE bug that prevents my screen from turning back on properly was not Ubuntu-specific, and I did confirm it also happens with the Fedora XFCE. But it is completely unrelated to this bug report and I will report it directly to XFCE.

Sorry for the noise.
