Installed Packages
Name : nethogs
Arch : x86_64
Version : 0.8.0
Release : 1.el6
Size : 53 k
Repo : installed
From repo : rs-epel
Summary : A tool resembling top for network traffic
URL : http://nethogs.sourceforge.net
License : GPL+
Description : NetHogs is a small "net top" tool.
            :
: Instead of breaking the traffic down per protocol or per subnet, like
: most such tools do, it groups bandwidth by process and does not rely
: on a special kernel module to be loaded.
            :
: So if there's suddenly a lot of network traffic, you can fire up
: NetHogs and immediately see which PID is causing this, and if it's
: some kind of spinning process, kill it.

[root@808547-testing6 ~]#

And it has a weird bug were it doesn't detect that is running as root:

[root@808547-testing6 ~]# nethogs
creating socket failed while establishing local IP - are you root?
[root@808547-testing6 ~]#

The bug is fixed, according to github, in nethogs 0.8.1+
https://github.com/raboof/nethogs/issues/25

The package is currently in v0.8.5 wich includes this fix an other improvements.
