Description Tomas Hudziec 2016-08-24 14:28:08 UTC
Description of problem:
The graphics card has two outputs: DVI and DP (display port). Display port output of graphics card NVIDIA Quadro K600 outputs black screen.

Test run in TCMS: https://tcms.engineering.redhat.com/run/288296

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-1.0.11-4.el7.x86_64
kernel-3.10.0-495.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. obtain 2 monitors and connect them to the card (DVI and DP)
2. turn on the computer

Actual results:
Monitor on DP output is turned off, on DVI monitor there is output of dmesg:
...
[ 212.458271] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: disp: outp 02:0006:0f42: link training failed
[ 212.466548] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: disp: outp 02:0006:0f42: link training failed
...

In xorg log there is nothing suspicious. It is possible to connect to the machine via ssh.

Expected results:
System starts correctly and graphical logging screen is shown.

Additional info:
Graphics card: NVIDIA Corporation GK107GL [Quadro K600] [10de:0ffa]

Comment 2 Tomas Hudziec 2016-08-24 14:31:28 UTC
Another case: When only DVI monitor is connected, connection of the DP monitor cause black screen on both monitors.
