Description of problem:

I've just installed a plain fc24, if configure my "HP DeskJet 3050" and then run any kind of print, i get the error "the printer is not responding".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

fc24 x86_64

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1.open system-config-printer
2.click "unlock", then "add", the network printer is automatic discovered and then i select all the default options
3.click on "print test page"
4.the printer led is blinking, and if i click on the printer, i get the error "the printer is not responding"

Actual results:

the printer led keep blinking, a gnome-message appear after a minute "the printer may not be connected"

Hi Davide,

thank you for contacting us. Did you install hplip package and 'setup'ed your printer with 'hp-setup' (for this command, you need to install hplip-gui package or run 'hp-setup -i')? If you did not, would you mind doing these steps? If you have already installed hplip and done these steps, would you mind reinstalling your hplip and running 'hp-setup'?

Yes, using "hp-setup" i've installed a new printer that works perfectly!
