Description Alexandr 2016-08-29 12:18:04 UTC
Description of problem:
Sometimes when clicking on a .torrent or magnetic link in Firefox qbittorrent will start and add the torrent to a new instance even though one is already running. (bug 893630 is the same, but it was about fedora 17 which is very old).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

firefox 48.0.1
qBittorrent v3.3.5

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to a .torrent link or magnetic link in Firefox
2. Click link
3. qbittorrent opens
4. Click another link
5. another instance of qbittorrent is started

Actual results:
multiple instances of qbittorrent run

Expected results:
only one instance of qbittorrent is open and torrents are sent to that single instance

Are you sure that it's the same torrent (aka: same magnet url) and not two different torrents with the same name? Can you provide a magnet url that gave you this problem?

Good day!

Yes, you are right. There are some torrents which owners add some files to them. And when I try to get such torrent (with the same name but with files added) I get this error. It seems to me that it should add torrent at the same instance but not the other one.

I've just tested it again. When I click on a new .torrent in firefox I get the same behavior. It opens new qBittorrent instance.
I use kde as an environment. What else can I add?
