The dialog in the Self-Service UI

Description of problem:
When creating service dialogs with tag control fields, they do not display in the SSUI when ordering the service. Instead the field is blank. In the screenshots, the "Test" field is a tag control. The first one shows the classic UI, the second shows the SSUI.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.6.1.2.20160810181333_8ba817b

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a dialog with a tag control field
2. Create a service item using the dialog
3. Open the self service UI
4. Order the service from the service catalog

Actual results: The tag control element do not display

Expected results: The tag control displays

Additional info: A bug has been opened and solved for the same issue in classic UI : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1282949.

Fabien - Support for the tag control is currently missing from the SSUI and we can work on getting that feature in and back-ported but it might take some time. The control will need to support both single and multi-selection.

Is it possible to use a drop-down field as a work-around for now? I realize it is not automatically populated unless you wire it to a dynamic field method but it should give you the functionality you need.

Comment 5 Fabien Dupont 2016-08-31 08:10:27 UTC
Greg - Yes, I can create a dynamic dropdown list and I will. However, the dynamic dropdown list doesn't allow multiple select: cf. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1337792 (yes, me again). Thus I don't have the same feature.

Comment 6 Greg McCullough 2016-08-31 13:22:43 UTC
Fabien - We are working on supporting that in PR https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq/pull/10270.
