Description of problem:
If htt_server is not running and httx and XMODIFIERS=@im=htt, kde
application will hang there without any messages or warnings.

How reproducible:
everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. service iiim stop
2. LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 httx
3. [on new terminal] LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 XMODIFIERS=@im=htt kedit
  
Actual results:
hang

Expected results:
not hang

Strange but look like this is gone in -7. QA please confirm.

Confirmed kedit run smoothly without IM in im-sdk-12.1-7.

However, I have also tested with -1 and -5. And I still cannot reproduce the
bug. I will watch for regression in future release.
