Added "Chapter 4. Using Red Hat Gluster Storage in the Google Cloud Platform " in the "Deployment Guide for Public Cloud" guide. Link to the doc: http://jenkinscat.gsslab.pnq.redhat.com:8080/job/doc-Red_Hat_Gluster_Storage-3.1-Deployment_Guide_for_Public_Cloud%20(html-single)/lastStableBuild/artifact/tmp/en-US/html-single/index.html#chap-Documentation-Deployment_Guide_for_Public_Cloud-Google_Cloud_Platform Some of the updates to the GCP chapter includes: - Added “Obtaining Red Hat Gluster Storage for Google Cloud Platform” new section. - Added “Subscribing to the Red Hat Gluster Storage Server Channels” section - Added “Convert the downloaded” section - Moved Section Building Red Hat Gluster Storage Compute Engine Image from Scratch as an Appendix - Updated the Prerequisites section with information on subscribing to RHGS 3.1 channels - Deleted “Software Entitlements” section and partial information of this section is added in Prerequisites section. - Updated the guide wrt GUI labels. - To maintain consistency with other RHGS guides, replaced “$ sudo” with “#” in the commands. - Added “4.15.3. Subscribing to the Red Hat Gluster Storage Server Channels” section As I have made fair amount of changes across the chapter, request a detailed review of the entire chapter. There are couple of modifications that are needed : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 4.1.2. Prerequisites Add Google cloud sdk and refer the section 4.2.3 for installation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 4.5 Uploading the Image into Google Cloud Storage. Add a note says "You need to login before uploading the images to the google cloud. The command to login is "gcloud auth login" which opens up a browser and prompts for google account credentials and follow the subsequent CLI instructions." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 4.15, Remove till "A public image for Red Hat Gluster Storage is not available. However," ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (In reply to Bhaskarakiran from comment #3) > There are couple of modifications that are needed : > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > -- > Section 4.1.2. Prerequisites > > Add Google cloud sdk and refer the section 4.2.3 for installation I have added the google cloud SDK as a prerequisite with a cross-reference to section 4.2.3. As section 4.2.3 information is only one para, we can move the 4.2.3 content to prerequisite itself, what do you suggest? > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- > -- > Section 4.5 Uploading the Image into Google Cloud Storage. > > Add a note says "You need to login before uploading the images to the google > cloud. Moving back the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.1.2. Prerequisites Change: Install the gcloud SDK. For more information on installing the Google Cloud SDK, see Section 4.2.3, “Install the gcloud SDK” to: Google Cloud SDK. Running the command will open a browser and prompts for google account credentials. The PROJECT_ID is set by default and follow the subsequent CLI instructions if it needs to be changed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As discussed with Anjana, sections 4.1.4 and 4.15 can remain the same.
